Grooming is always an essential part of your dog or cat’s health and happiness. Grooming helps your pet stay in great health, keeping them feeling good, looking sharp and smelling fresh!
Here are just a few of the ways grooming can be beneficial for your furry friend:
Grooming Services in East Nashville
At Mobley Veterinary Clinic, we offer a variety of pet grooming services, including:
Cuts: When your dog or cat is in need of a trim, we can take care of it with our breed specific cuts. This service will help your pet feel lighter and cooler, keep fur out of their eyes and improve their appearance.
Nail Trimming: When your pet's nails get too long, they can curl and cause joint pain in their paws. Nail clipping is part of every grooming visit.
Spa Bath: We give baths with the highest-quality equipment. Our pet bathing service comes with anal gland expression when needed, ear cleaning and nail trimming. We finish with a blow out to make them feel dry and comfortable before heading home. The spa bath may also relieve itchy or irritated skin.
De-shedding Treatments: De-shedding treatments help control an over-abundance of shedding by addressing the root of the problem - the undercoat.
Meet Your Pet Groomer at Mobley Veterinary Clinic
Tiffany Palmer began working with animals at the age of 14, volunteering at animal shelters. She then worked at a pet shop, where she aided the on-call veterinarian. Beginning in 2000, she worked at a vet clinic as a kennel technician. As Tiffany is also an artist, she found that the medical aspects of working with animals left little room for artistic expression. She began working with the animal clinic's four groomers, who helped her learn all the aspects of proper grooming techniques and has had experience grooming show dogs as well as pets.
Tiffany was awarded "Best Groomer in Nashville" by both Nashville Scene and Nashville Paw magazines. She has attended the Atlanta Pet Conference where she learned new grooming techniques as they evolved over the years and also has experience with animal psychology and basic obedience training.
Scheduling a Grooming Appointment at Mobley Veterinary Clinic
Grooming services are available Monday-Saturday. Please call to schedule your pet's grooming appointment and plan for 4-6 weeks ahead, especially in spring and summer. Our staff can give you an estimate, though this may change according to the condition of your pet's hair and skin. For a more accurate estimation, request a consultation with our groomer over the phone, or in person with your pet present, to ensure he or she is groomed according to your wishes.
When you schedule, inform our staff if your animal is aggressive, as a "handling fee" may be charged to cover any potential risks to our groomer and staff. Some pets may require mild sedation to be groomed, in which case a veterinarian will consult with you and the groomer and administer sedation prior to grooming.
Though our animal clinic does not treat exotic pets, Tiffany will gladly groom guinea pigs and ferrets and will aid with reptile skin moisturizing and shedding. If your taste tends towards the more "fashion-forward" or "mod", area-color fur dying is available as well as creative cuts, such as Mohawks or simple pattern shaves.
At Mobley Veterinary Clinic, our grooming services are overseen by our vets for the best possible care. To learn more about our services and pricing give us a call.
